Free Sleep Eye Mask Pattern

7/17/2021

Picture
I've got a cute free eye mask sewing pattern for your guys that you can download from below, at end of supplies list,  then watch the video to go along with it. The sleepy time eye mask pattern uses soft, plush minky fabric as it's backing and comfortable foldover elastic. I LOVE the minky because it's so soft and comforting and as an added bonus, it also acts as a sort of light blocker because it's so thick and plush. The video can be found on my You Tube Channel, A Design By Angie, HERE. I filmed it as an ASMR video with no music or talking because I actually have started to enjoy listening to all those packaging videos while I work. The sounds just kind of put me in the zone. Or, if you prefer, just turn down the volume and watch. It has clear written instructions the whole way through.
I also have a full set with a Kitty cat shaped sleep eye mask, a cute mini drawstring bag to hold your mask as well as a copy of the free eye mask. It has over 20 full color photos, printable tutorial and sewing patterns you can print for the drawstring bag, kitty eye mask, and regular eye mask. You can snag the deluxe pattern set HERE at my Etsy Store.

DIY Fabric Hair Flower Clips

Making a Hair Decoration

So, you want something cute, trendy, and unique to wear in your hair other thn a ribbon hair bow.  (Also, what else are you going to do with that HUGE stash of buttons and fabric scraps) These easy to make fabric hair flower clips are a great beginner's craft or even a fun craft for kid's to do. You can make them in all colors depending on what fabrics you have. You can make a Halloween hair clip or a Christmas hairclip, it's only limited by the fabric scraps you have on hand. So grab some of your favorite fabric scraps that you've been saving (hoarding, but who's judging?)  and let's get started. You know the ones I'm talking about, the scraps you  couldn't bear to part with because you just knew that someday you could do something with them!

Supplies You Need For Hair Clips

  • Assorted fabric scraps
  • Buttons to coordinate with your fabric choices
  • Coordinating thread
  • Strong sturdy fabric or craft glue. I don't recommend hot glue because it will not hold well on the metal clips. Here is a link to the type of glue I use for mine.
  • Alligator hair clips. you can find these online at Amazon or at your local craft store.
  • Pins for pinning your fabric onto your pattern
  • Sewing needle
  • Starch,  iron, and ironing board or ironing mat.
  • *Optional* small ribbons, pieces of trim or ric rac to add extra embellishment to your hairclips.
